Atlanta rapper Silento, who is known for the hit song of 2015, "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)," has been arrested in DeKalb County for the shooting death of his 34-year-old cousin. There is an investigation underway into the death of Frederick Rooks. The prime suspect has been concluded as the 23-year-old Silento, who has been taken into custody this past Monday without bond as the motive is being researched.
On January 21st, police responded to a call arriving to the scene to find Rooks dead with multiple gunshots. However, surveillance footage from residents and security cameras captured several cars exiting the scene plus one of the gunshots. With further investigation, Silento has been identified by detectives to be responsible for death of thus cousin.
Silento, real name Ricky Lamar Hawk has been in and out of the light of the law multiple times in the latter months of 2020. Let’s all send some positivity his way.
